However, non-motor symptoms such as psychiatric disorders, autonomic disturbances and sleep disorders frequently complicate the course of the disease. In particular, psychiatric disturbances including cognitive impairment, depression and psychosis impact these patients considerably. Approximately 31% of PD patients suffer from cognitive impairment and dementia. Currently, two different clinical presentations are distinguished in PD patients, who present with dementia: Parkinson's disease with dementia (PDD) and dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB), which are two different presentations of a single underlying disease process leading to the deposition of cc-synuclein. Clinically, PDD is distinguished from DLB alone by the different temporal manifestations of extrapyramidal motor symptoms. Dementia is characterized by a subtle onset and progressive cognitive decline with a predominant dysexecutive syndrome, which can be accompanied by different behavioral symptoms such as hallucinations, depression, anxiety and sleep disorders. Dysregulation of different neurotransmitters has been associated with cognitive decline, but reduced cholinergic transmission is currently thought to be the pivotal mechanism in the development of cognitive dysfunction. Therefore, cholinesterase inhibitors are used in the treatment of dementia and accompanying behavioral symptoms in PDD and DLB. The occurrence of dementia impacts not only the patients themselves but also their care-givers and family. The GFPI uses two tunable etalons in collimated mounting. Thanks to its large-format, high-cadence CCD detectors with sophisticated computer hard- and software it is capable of scanning spectral lines with a cadence that is sufficient to capture the dynamic evolution of the solar atmosphere. The field-of-view (FOV) of 50 ' x38 ' is well suited for quiet Sun and sunspot observations. However, in the vector spectropolarimetric mode the FOV reduces to 25 ' x38 '. The spectral coverage in the spectroscopic mode extends from 530-860 nm with a theoretical spectral resolution of R approximate to 250 000, whereas in the vector spectropolarimetric mode the wavelength range is at present limited to 580-660 nm. The combination of fast narrow-band imaging and post-factum image restoration has the potential for discovery science concerning the dynamic Sun and its magnetic field at spatial scales down to similar to 50 km on the solar surface. From July 2002 to March 2012, 1551 newly diagnosed patients in chronic phase were randomized into a 5-arm study. The study was powered to detect a survival difference of 5% at 5 years. After a median observation time of 9.5 years, 10-year overall survival was 82%, 10-year progression-free survival was 80% and 10-year relative survival was 92%. Survival between IM400 mg and any experimental arm was not different. In a multivariate analysis, risk group, major-route chromosomal aberrations, comorbidities, smoking and treatment center (academic vs other) influenced survival significantly, but not any form of treatment optimization. Patients reaching the molecular response milestones at 3, 6 and 12 months had a significant survival advantage. For responders, monotherapy with IM400 mg provides a close to normal life expectancy independent of the time to response. Survival is more determined by patients' and disease factors than by initial treatment selection. The present paper refutes this common perception by examining the structural changes in MCrAlY as induced by cold spraying (CS). The cold-sprayed coatings were characterized for phase composition and microstructural features using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques. These results are compared with those obtained from the feedstock powder, as well as those obtained from ball-milled powder. An extensive phase transition from bcc to fcc is observed after both CS and after ball milling. This MZP was prepared by the combination of pulsed laser deposition (PLD) and focused ion beam (FIB). Despite the small focus size, the MZP's quality suffered from sufficient but comparatively low efficiency (2%). In this paper we discuss how to overcome limitations of MZP fabrication by PLD by investigating the material systems W/Si, WIZr02, and Ta205/Zr02. We give a detailed description on the optimization processes for the deposition of smooth multilayers with highly precise layer thicknesses on a rotating wire. Furthermore, we present our latest results regarding a Ta205/Zr02 MZP, which has been proven already to be a system of high potential in the very first experiments as the efficiency reached 6.9% (at 18 keV). 2014 Elsevier B.V.
