Abstract
X-ray microscopy allows the direct visualization of soil colloids in water. In combination with tomographic techniques it is possible to visualize the three dimensional distribution of the linear absorption coefficient of soil colloids and to investigate the surface amount and spatial arrangement of the particles. First experiments of Nontronite particles from the XM-1 are presented.
