Two production processes are considered: \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n $u+g\\rightarrow t$\r\n \r\n \r\n u\r\n +\r\n g\r\n →\r\n t\r\n \r\n \r\n and \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n $c+g\\rightarrow t$\r\n \r\n \r\n c\r\n +\r\n g\r\n →\r\n t\r\n \r\n \r\n . The analysis is based on proton–proton collision data taken at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The data set corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n $^{-1}$\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n -\r\n 1\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n . Events with exactly one electron or muon, exactly one b-tagged jet and missing transverse momentum are selected, resembling the decay products of a singly produced top quark. Neural networks based on kinematic variables differentiate between events from the two signal processes and events from background processes. The measured data are consistent with the background-only hypothesis, and limits are set on the production cross-sections of the signal processes: \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n $\\sigma (u+g\\rightarrow t)\\times \\mathcal {B}(t\\rightarrow Wb)\\times \\mathcal {B}(W\\rightarrow \\ell \\nu )<3.0\\,$\r\n \r\n \r\n σ\r\n (\r\n u\r\n +\r\n g\r\n →\r\n t\r\n )\r\n ×\r\n B\r\n (\r\n t\r\n →\r\n W\r\n b\r\n )\r\n ×\r\n B\r\n (\r\n W\r\n →\r\n â„“\r\n ν\r\n )\r\n <\r\n 3.0\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n pb and \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n $\\sigma (c+g\\rightarrow t)\\times \\mathcal {B}(t\\rightarrow Wb)\\times \\mathcal {B}(W\\rightarrow \\ell \\nu )<4.7\\,$\r\n \r\n \r\n σ\r\n (\r\n c\r\n +\r\n g\r\n →\r\n t\r\n )\r\n ×\r\n B\r\n (\r\n t\r\n →\r\n W\r\n b\r\n )\r\n ×\r\n B\r\n (\r\n W\r\n →\r\n â„“\r\n ν\r\n )\r\n <\r\n 4.7\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n pb at the 95% confidence level, with \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n $\\mathcal {B}(W\\rightarrow \\ell \\nu )=0.325$\r\n \r\n \r\n B\r\n (\r\n W\r\n →\r\n â„“\r\n ν\r\n )\r\n =\r\n 0.325\r\n \r\n \r\n being the sum of branching ratios of all three leptonic decay modes of the W boson. Based on the framework of an effective field theory, the cross-section limits are translated into limits on the strengths of the tug and tcg couplings occurring in the theory: \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n $|C^{\\,ut}_{uG}|/\\Lambda ^2 < 0.057\\,$\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n |\r\n \r\n \r\n C\r\n \r\n uG\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n u\r\n t\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n |\r\n /\r\n \r\n \r\n Λ\r\n 2\r\n \r\n <\r\n 0.057\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n TeV\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n $^{-2}$\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n -\r\n 2\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n and \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n $|C^{\\,ct}_{uG}|/\\Lambda ^2 < 0.14\\,$\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n |\r\n \r\n \r\n C\r\n \r\n uG\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n c\r\n t\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n |\r\n /\r\n \r\n \r\n Λ\r\n 2\r\n \r\n <\r\n 0.14\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n TeV\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n $^{-2}$\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n -\r\n 2\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n . Six winter wheat cultivars from three locations in Germany were analysed to assess the factors influencing the HFN. The cultivars and locations affected significantly the HFN of all the samples. The infection with Fusarium culmorum, determined in another cultivar, also led to an increase in HFN, which suggested that the HFN method is not adequate enough for the true determination of the alpha-amylase activity of fungus-infected, wheat flour. Furthermore, there was no clear correlation between HFN and thousand-kernel weight, starch content or pentosan content. The measurements use data collected with the ATLAS detector from pp collisions produced at the Large Hadron Collider at a centre-of-mass energy of s $ \\sqrt{s} $ = 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb−1. Leptonic (τ → ℓνℓντ) and hadronic (τ → hadrons ντ) decays of the τ-lepton are considered. All measurements account for the branching ratio of H → ττ and are performed with a requirement |yH| < 2.5, where yH is the true Higgs boson rapidity. The cross-section of the pp → H → ττ process is measured to be 2.94 ± 0.21 stat − 0.32 +0.37$ 0.21{\\left(\\mathrm{stat}\\right)}_{-0.32}^{+0.37} $ (syst) pb, in agreement with the SM prediction of 3.17 ± 0.09 pb. Inclusive cross-sections are determined separately for the four dominant production modes: 2.65 ± \r\n 0.41 stat − 0.67 + 0.91$ 0.41{\\left(\\mathrm{stat}\\right)}_{-0.67}^{+0.91} $ (syst) pb for gluon-gluon fusion, 0.197 ± 0.028 stat − 0.026 + 0.032 $ 0.028{\\left(\\mathrm{stat}\\right)}_{-0.026}^{+0.032} $\r\n (syst) pb for vector-boson fusion, 0.115 ± 0.058 stat − 0.040 + 0.042 $ 0.058{\\left(\\mathrm{stat}\\right)}_{-0.040}^{+0.042} $ (syst) pb for vector-boson associated production, and 0.033 ± \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n 0.031\r\n \r\n \r\n stat\r\n \r\n \r\n −\r\n 0.017\r\n \r\n \r\n +\r\n 0.022\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n $ 0.031{\\left(\\mathrm{stat}\\right)}_{-0.017}^{+0.022} $\r\n (syst) pb for top-quark pair associated production. Measurements in exclusive regions of the phase space, using the simplified template cross-section framework, are also performed. The fiducial cross-section at s $ \\sqrt{s} $ = 13 TeV is measured to be σ = 1.267 ± 0.005 ± 0.053 pb, where the uncertainties reflect the limited number of data events and the systematic uncertainties, giving a total uncertainty of 4.2%. The cross-section is measured differentially as a function of variables characterising the t t ¯ $ t\\overline{t} $ system and additional radiation in the events. The results are compared with various Monte Carlo generators, including comparisons where the generators are reweighted to match a parton-level calculation at next-to-next-to-leading order. The reweighting improves the agreement between data and theory. The measured distribution of the top-quark transverse momentum is used to search for new physics in the context of the effective field theory framework.
