Abstract
Stocks of organic C (Corg) and total N (Nt) in soils of grazed grassland ecosystems may be affected by the management intensity. However, respective data for grasslands of the temperate zone are scarce. Soil samples were taken in 0-10 cm, 10-25 cm and 25-40 cm depth from pasture plots of one ha in central Germany
